How do I start playing on YahooGames?
The most popular YahooGames are categorized on the main Games page. To find all other games, just click on the "All Games" link in the category you're interested in, or click on the "All Games List" link at the bottom of the Games page. Just click on the name of the game you would like to play.
For some of the games on YahooGames (like Jewel Quest and Zuma) you will be taken directly to the game screen, where you can play the game.
For other games (like Pool and Spades) you will be taken to the game's ante room (where the list of lounges is). From this ante room, select a gaming lounge based on your level of play (social, intermediate, advanced). Once in a lounge, you can get information about the specific rules of the game, select your screen size, and choose the identity you want to play under. Once you enter a gaming room, you can either join a table in progress, create your own table, or watch a game in progress. Click Play Now to automatically go to a table with an open seat. Or, any table with a "Join" button needs players and you should feel comfortable clicking the button and joining the table. If you create a table by clicking the "Create Table" button you become the host and you have the option of inviting other players to the table using the "Invite" button. To watch a game, click the "Watch" button next to an active game.
Note that getting into a Bingo game is slightly different. Click the "Join In" button to join a table. You can not create or host a Bingo table like the other games
Can I play any of the games by myself on YahooGames?
Yahoo! offers both single and multi-player games. To determine if a game is single or multi-player, go to Yahoo! Games and look to the left of the game name. means that a game is single-player and means it's multi-player.
If your game isn't listed on the front page, please visit the yahoogames All Games List. See the "Multi/Single-player" column to see if the game is single or multi-player. Click on the column name to sort it so you can see all of the single and multi-player games together.
Several multi-player games can also be played against computer opponents if you like.
Blackjack is played against the dealer, and if you don't want other "human" players at your table (and you are the host/creator of the table) you can set the table type to "Private", preventing any new players from joining the table unless you invite them.
Pool can be played alone by selecting the "Training" option when you create a table.
Word Racer can also be played alone, although it's really designed to be a multi-player game. If you don't want other players at your table (and you are the host/creator of the table) you can set the table type to Private, preventing any new players from joining the table unless you invite them.
Hearts, Euchre, Spades, Dominoes, Cribbage, Go Stop, and Chinese Checkers can be played against computer opponents (i.e., robots, bots, or AI).
To fill an empty seat with a computer "robot," select a table with open seats and click the "Play Robot" button. You can also type "/auto" in the chat area to fill the empty seats with robots.

On some days YahooGames is slow or freezes. What's going on?
Lags and freezes are just a part of the Internet, especially in highly complex services such as Yahoo Games. Our goal is to provide the best free games service, and we regret when any of our players experience problems while using our service. We are currently doing our best to make YahooGames as trouble-free and enjoyable as possible with the existing Internet infrastructure. We will continue to improve the service as new technology is developed.
If you are disconnected, close your browser (reconnect to the Internet first if necessary) and then return to the same lounge you were playing in. You will be automatically invited back into the game if you return to the same lounge in time. If the lounge is full, then unfortunately you will not be able to get back to that lounge unless you are using GameProwler TM and have a friend in that lounge.
